The soothing voice, the loving gaze, She's my hero in so many ways. A heart of gold that cares for all, She's a fighter who'd never fall. I am her strength, her joy, her pride, She's forever there by my side. A wonderful chef, an awesome host, To her happiness today I raise a toast Always happy with what she's got, Patience and perseverance to me  she taught. She taught me to live an enriching life, To play with the problems and smile at the strife. An amazing daughter, a lovely wife, My mom's my best friend for life She believed in me even when I did not, Gave me wings to show the world what I got So now that it's her birthday, my heart says, Thank you Mumma for being there always May you be merry and healthy I pray, Here's wishing you a very Happy Birthday!

There are times I wonder about the purpose of life, about the reason why certain people are the way they are. What is it to feel for someone? Why does a complete stranger become a close pal? My questions remained unanswered for quite a bit until this amazing stranger walked into my life. He was a simple guy with sparkling eyes. He would talk and I would drown into his world of ultimate euphoria. Gentle and polite he would address me by my nick name which made me feel all the more awesome. There is no end to the amount of fondness I have for him. I refuse to call it love because that would define our sublime relation. I want it to be as pure and heavenly as it is now. We call it ‘friendship’. Friendship is one of the most powerful words I have come across in my life. It has the power to bring me back to life and cheer as if nothing ever went wrong. Wandering through the dense forests of the mind, alone and unarmed, Waiting to find light amidst the dark clouds that charmed The droplets of rain that fell on my face, Adorned me like a lovely pearl necklace I wasn’t alone, you were always there, In my memories and my dreams somewhere Seeing you smile was such a pleasant surprise, Sparkling eyes which knew how to easily mesmerize You lit up my world so effortlessly, And I fell for you so hopelessly

Struggling to catch a glimpse of him, I wander in my dreams, He visits me once in a while, completely magical it seems. We are together, yet apart, I wonder when our story would start! Sometimes he’ll flatter me with all the attention, Sometimes there’s so much of love and affection. Then there are times there are no calls, no chats, There are times we act like spoilt brats. What goes on in his mind is a real mystery, But we do share a good chemistry. I don’t know where I am actually heading, Is it love or rumours of madness that my brain’s spreading? Keep wondering whether it’s a yes or a no, He loves me or loves me not, I don't know!

He came, I saw, he conquered, Smitten, I quietly pondered. What was it about him that made me blush, His eyes were hypnotic, his voice sent a rush. Genuinely caring he'd hold my hand, And I would skip a beat, just quietly stand. He'd flirt & I'd flirt right back, Innocence it was, tact he lacked. A man of his word, he'd care for everyone, Loved his beer and for a puff he'd run, Jokes apart, a loving friend I found, In a world of fakes all around...

As I walked along the crooked lanes, I saw those creaky window panes. They wondered where we all were rushing, Looked like an excited river gushing. A girl stood by the window pane, She saw us hurrying like people insane. What were we seeking she thought, With time all of us regularly fought. There was no leisure, no time to relax, We were burdened with life’s dreaded tax. We paid in kind everyday, There was only work, no rest, no play. Finally I decided to take a stand, Thought my slavery ought to be banned. Stopped surviving as per the mighty clocks, And began living a leisurely life that rocks!!!

Where did those days go, When a yes was a yes, and no a no? It’s a complex world we live in, Where truth loses and lies win. She waited hoping for the best, It turned out to be tricky test. Finally she figured that love was always there, Stopped fearing she took the dare. Began loving herself instead of waiting, Redefined life, it was happiness that she was dating!
