The hand that rocked the cradle, still rules my world

Tears in my eyes as I sit to
write this,
There’s something important
that I really did miss!
Ma, just want to say this to
you,
I love you so much, I really do.
A woman of substance you have
always been,
Given me strength &
support umpteen,
I grew up listening to your
lovely laughter,
You made me a
worthy daughter.
You sacrifice always to give
me what I need,
You taught me how to live, m
lucky indeed!
You never dominated or bossed
around,
In you, my closest friend, I
found!
A companion when I had no one
with me,
A playmate to play around with
glee!
My teacher, my guide you have
always been,
Even in the worst of times, in
you, a light I have seen.
There were times I woke up not
wanting to fight anymore,
You gave me your hand and I
felt so strong, like never before!
I stood up again and you
taught me how to walk,
I learned to believe in
myself, and from a cipher to cheerfully balk!
You understood me when I refused to act sound,
You believed in me even when
my heart denied to hound.
I thank my stars for having you as my mom,
For all the times u made me
feel so secure and warm.
Your endearing hug made me
forget all the pain,
Your smile strengthened me & helped me to
regain.
“It’s when you sit gloomy and lost in thought,
And stare aimlessly in space asking yourself, Now what?
And
someone quietly comes, holds your hand and whispers in your ear,
It’s ok my
darling, everything will be alright, you don’t have to fear when I am here…”
