Struggling to catch a glimpse of him, I wander in my dreams, He visits me once in a while, completely magical it seems. We are together, yet apart, I wonder when our story would start! Sometimes he’ll flatter me with all the attention, Sometimes there’s so much of love and affection. Then there are times there are no calls, no chats, There are times we act like spoilt brats. What goes on in his mind is a real mystery, But we do share a good chemistry. I don’t know where I am actually heading, Is it love or rumours of madness that my brain’s spreading? Keep wondering whether it’s a yes or a no, He loves me or loves me not, I don't know!

He came, I saw, he conquered, Smitten, I quietly pondered. What was it about him that made me blush, His eyes were hypnotic, his voice sent a rush. Genuinely caring he'd hold my hand, And I would skip a beat, just quietly stand. He'd flirt & I'd flirt right back, Innocence it was, tact he lacked. A man of his word, he'd care for everyone, Loved his beer and for a puff he'd run, Jokes apart, a loving friend I found, In a world of fakes all around...

As I walked along the crooked lanes, I saw those creaky window panes. They wondered where we all were rushing, Looked like an excited river gushing. A girl stood by the window pane, She saw us hurrying like people insane. What were we seeking she thought, With time all of us regularly fought. There was no leisure, no time to relax, We were burdened with life’s dreaded tax. We paid in kind everyday, There was only work, no rest, no play. Finally I decided to take a stand, Thought my slavery ought to be banned. Stopped surviving as per the mighty clocks, And began living a leisurely life that rocks!!!

Where did those days go, When a yes was a yes, and no a no? It’s a complex world we live in, Where truth loses and lies win. She waited hoping for the best, It turned out to be tricky test. Finally she figured that love was always there, Stopped fearing she took the dare. Began loving herself instead of waiting, Redefined life, it was happiness that she was dating!

Wandering like butterflies, we seldom meet, Once in a year we get to greet. Paper or cloth, we are made of stuff you call sheets, Soaring high up in the sky, we feel your heartbeats. Colours of joy, colours of fun, We splash them in the sky for everyone. Call us kites or carpets unfurled, We are butterflies playing with your world!

Armed with simplicity, dressed in jet black, Just a genuine smile, diplomacy he did lack, Wasn't too long since we got to know each other, But with him around, the time would no longer bother Those eyes spoke volumes, had big dreams and a few fears too I would visit the world through them, oh! it was so true. Hiding some pain amidst the adorable smile, Absolutely innocent, he’d woo me every once in a while. A connoisseur of art and all things fine, A lover of independence, he shared a dream just like mine His presence was a touch of soulful melody, With him, life seemed like a lovely fairy tale, not a random parody!

A pleasant smile, with those hypnotic eyes, Naughty to the core, but a welcome surprise, Loves to fight and brings out the beast in me, Then innocently winks saying, 'Come on, let it be! Somehow my ego takes a back seat and winks, It wants to know what this guy actually thinks! He brightens up my day effortlessly, And I fall for him hopelessly. That husky voice, Oh! the enchanting gaze, Make me addicted, it's such a 'craze' With utmost simplicity, he wins over my heart, And Cupid dances as he perfectly hits the random dart.
