What if ?

Image
Sometimes I feel what if I wasn't me, what if I was a butterfly flying with glee. What would I do to be happy? Stroll in the gardens feeling shy or crappy! It's so mesmerizing to watch these birds take flight, Butterflies remind you to lay low and fly high with might. It's not about power, prestige or pride, These birds i call butterflies make for such amazing brides. They love to sit on flowers and buds, Soft like melted butter and shine like diamond studs. Each flight teaches them a lesson, they never really fail, Be it good or bad, Butterflies do live a fairy tale!

My Cinderella Boy!

Image
Armed with simplicity, dressed in jet black, Just a genuine smile, diplomacy he did lack, Wasn't too long since we got to know each other, But with him around, the time would no longer bother Those eyes spoke volumes, had big dreams and a few fears too I would visit the world through them, oh! it was so true. Hiding some pain amidst the adorable smile, Absolutely innocent, he’d woo me every once in a while. A connoisseur of art and all things fine, A lover of independence, he shared a dream just like mine His presence was a touch of soulful melody, With him, life seemed like a lovely fairy tale, not a random parody!

Love at First Fight

Image
A pleasant smile, with those hypnotic eyes, Naughty to the core, but a welcome surprise, Loves to fight and brings out the beast in me, Then innocently winks saying, 'Come on, let it be! Somehow my ego takes a back seat and winks, It wants to know what this guy actually thinks! He brightens up my day effortlessly, And I fall for him hopelessly. That husky voice, Oh! the enchanting gaze, Make me addicted, it's such a 'craze' With utmost simplicity, he wins over my heart, And Cupid dances as he perfectly hits the random dart.

A Tête-à-tête with Silence

Image
Many moons ago, there was someone I didn't know, Not very friendly, but she liked to go with the flow. 'Silence', she was called, came to meet a select few, As a kid, ‘noise’ was all that I knew! Fun, laughter and lots of merry-making, No worries or fears about people faking. 'Trust' was a familiar word, easy to believe, I wouldn't feel hurt too often, it was easy to forgive. Gradually, I understood what ‘quiet’ meant, In memory making, time was happily spent. Indulged in s tar-gazing and watched seasons taking twists & turns,  Fell for words, blushed at poems and laughed at jokes  & puns. Befriended emotions and feelings. To my surprise, Silence was indeed noisy, she had the powers to lovingly mesmerise!

We never really grow up, we just age, Everyone’s naughty, no one’s a sage! Little pleasures of life are what we crave for, making us feel like kids once more. Be it doing the ‘boogie woogie’ or singing our hearts out, And living without knowing the meaning of the word ‘doubt’. It’s never too late to begin as they say, Happiness awaits your attention, just smile, come what may! It’s when you’re wondering how horrible things could get, the incredible happens, ‘serendipity’ you've met. Befriend her and break free, Life’s fun...if you let it be!

Let her know she matters to you, Tell him his departure shatters. Be true. People, like seasons, come and go, Don't hesitate, It's best to let them know. A compliment or a feeling, whatever it is, Express it before they become someone you miss. Fall in love, slog at work, make mistakes and get over, Live happily in the NOW coz nothing lasts forever

Life's Too Short To Frown!

Image
They don't do it intentionally, but you're hurt, It's meant to be funny, you find it curt. Why should petty talks matter anyway? Everyone's free to convey whatever they wanna say. Breathe. It's unfair expecting things to be as you please. Those who matter, can affect you with unbelievable ease. But it ain't such a big deal you know, Just laugh it off and let it go. They're after all not bad at heart, And you'll kinda miss them while they depart

Addicted to You...

Image
The first thing every morning I do, Is to smile and endlessly think about you. Your words resonate in my head, Reminding me of all that you said. It felt special when you called me 'beautiful', My heart sang merrily, I felt wonderful. You brought me back to life in a way, So here's something I'd really like to say, I am addicted to you, and it's magical, You've made a dreamy poet out of this shy gal!

A Blush Story

Image
She’d never look him in the eye, A little old-school, she was shy. His stare, made her blush, His voice, sent a rush. Unaware of his feelings, she wouldn't express, But smitten by her innocence, one day he did confess. Madly in love, they walked hand in hand, Strolling on the beach, playing with the sand. He stared at her as he saw the prettiest of smiles, Together they happily walked many miles... Time paused and life came to a standstill, As they drowned in love at their naughty will Friendship blossomed into a bond so lovely, Life smiled and the feeling seemed heavenly. Silence was comfortable, they experienced bliss, In each other's company, nothing did they miss. Lovestruck they vowed to always be together, A dreamy date it was, one that they'd cherish forever

Missing Moments

Image
Those days when I was usually lost in thought Forever smiling and happy with what I got Mom was my charm, my strength and she still is Dad told stories of courage that today I truly miss Not a single day I'd go without fighting with my brother His absence now kills and makes me helplessly bother Dolls and teddies were all that I wanted But suddenly all vanished and I was daunted! Daunted with new dreams, new aspirations Struggling to make a mark, seeking inspirations I went to college and learnt new stuff Trudging paths which were smooth and sometimes tough Slowly and steadily the leisure just vanished Me-time with random hobbies was totally banished Bed time stories were replaced by midnight calls Gardens and park visits found no place amidst the malls I grew up and I grew up too fast Future would bother and scary looked the past In this hasty living one day I did realize How I gave up on the real present to see unreal dreams materialize And then I simply vowed to never forget b...
