Persevere or Perish!

Everything is life is nothing but a long wait. Look around each and every object waits to do something, reach somewhere or become someone. I find it very interesting to wait for the sun to rise or the earth to take a position where the sun-rays begin to kiss it slowly. The birds wait to pick the best worm however early or late they make it to their marketplace. The plants wait for some sun and water to help them sustain life. Almost the entire rhythm of nature dances to the tunes of the ‘right’ time

Coming to us, the mortals wait for success, fortune, marriage, love and enlightenment in rare cases. Life resonates the sound of a clock ticking and all wait to live that moment of joy, fame, achievement or contentment that they have long desired. We are also taught by the epics and scriptures that nothing happens before the right time arrives. Be it life or death, we are too feeble to decide the course of our lives as the omnipotent entity called time rules everything

While in love we wait for that one call or text from our beloved, a proposal, an affirmation accepting it, a movie date or a coffee rendezvous. Love is a game for the patient hearts, not brave or romantic ones because in the end it’s really about who came and stood by you when leaving you alone was the most logical choice. In matters of work we all wait for the moment of glory when our work is recognized or even acknowledged. We wait for the month end salary slip or the long due promotion. It is a wait to get somewhere and get there fast.

It’s strange how life teaches us the value of the ‘right’ time. The next time you’re waiting for something, remember you’re a part of some master plan and you’re obviously not the first one who arrived so be patient and sharpen your axe until you get the desired opportunity. Things do happen the way we want them to, only if we are ready to persevere before we perish!
